Expansion and renovation of the Graduate School of Education College. The vision behind the expansion is “One Penn GSE” bringing the majority of the School’s programs, students, faculty, and program staff into one state-of-the-art building in the heart of the Penn campus.

The project scope includes a new addition to Stitler, spanning over an existing garage. An addition to the GSE building, and a new building bridging the two to create a unified building for the GSE. Structural challenges included designing for an overbuild, creating new openings, an addition to mechanical room inside of the garage, working within the confines of the existing garage. Reinforcing of existing garage for new plaza layout and grading, green roofs included in the design for the new building.
