Working to Save Historic Ellicott City

Ellicott City, Maryland was ravaged by a record breaking flood on July 30, 2016. The natural disaster hit the area’s historic Main Street the hardest, with water levels rising to the second story in some buildings. Damage suffered by several structures was initially thought to be irrecoverable. Keast & Hood is working with Preservation Maryland, Patapsco Valley Heritage Area, and representatives from the Structural Group to help stabilize & save Ellicott City’s irreplaceable buildings, thought to date to the early 1800’s.
