Recent Project Recognition

We are excited to share the recent recognition of three Keast & Hood projects: The Academy of Music Seating Upgrades; Silverman Hall at the University of Pennsylvania; and the Lutnick Library at Haverford College.

The Lutnick Library at Haverford College received an Excellence in Concrete Award from the Eastern PA Delaware Valley American Concrete Institute. The project reconfigured the existing library, transforming it from a dark, hard to navigate space to a bright, cutting edge learning environment that extends well beyond the traditional notion of a library while also respecting the retained historic portions of the building.

The Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia recognized two Keast & Hood projects with Grand Jury Awards this year as part of their annual awards highlighting the best preservation related projects in the region. The Academy of Music Philadelphia project included an interior renovation that upgraded seating for patrons and provided accessibility improvements. The Silverman Hall Carey Law School renovation for the University of Pennsylvania provided new, advanced teaching spaces with new tiered seating and the introduction of digital learning screens. Congratulations to our client on both of these historic projects, Voith and Mactavish Architects!
