Recent Project Recognition

We are thrilled to announce the recent recognition of two Keast & Hood projects, the University of Pennsylvania Ringe Squash Courts and the Fashion District Philadelphia.

Engineering News Record recently recognized the Ringe Squash Courts at the University of Pennsylvania with a Mid Atlantic regional Project Award. The comprehensive renovation included an addition to the University’s existing complex following an updated feasibility study, The project program consists of twelve international squash courts, two of which are to be permanent 4-wall glass exhibition courts with fixed seating. Structural scope of work included a complete analysis of the existing building and identification of structural elements requiring intervention and supplementation. Structural elements were relocated, reconfigured, and framing and foundations provided for additional compensation.

The new Fashion District Philadelphia project we completed with JPRA Architects received an Outstanding Project Award from the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers. The project consisted of the redevelopment of Philadelphia’s Gallery Mall. A massive 1.5 Million SF interior and exterior renovation that encompasses 13 different structures, spans three city blocks, and sits on top of four different mass transit train lines. The project was broken up into four different sections and carried out of the course of seven years.

Congratulations to our partners and clients on the Ringe Squash Courts Renovation and Addition, Ewing Cole, and the Fashion District Philadelphia, JPRA Architects!
