Rachel Tyler, PE Promoted to Associate
Keast & Hood is proud to announce that Rachel E. Tyler, PE has been promoted to Associate. A vital member of the Washington, DC office since 2012, Rachel has repeatedly proven herself as an effective leader. She has over 13 years of experience, including a background in solving complex structural engineering problems, design of new construction, and renovations to existing and historic structures. Successfully realizing some of the firm’s most sensitive projects, her tireless commitment and responsiveness is appreciated by colleagues and project team members alike.

Some of Rachel’s notable projects include, The Field School Renovation and Addition, Georgetown’s Ryan and Mulledy Halls Renovation, and The Maret School Renovation and Modernization. Rachel is an active volunteer and mentor. She supports multiple organizations and serves on the advisory board for the Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School. Rachel also works with the Architecture in the Schools program through the Washington Architectural Foundation where she teaches structural engineering to underprivileged students throughout the District of Columbia.
