Philadelphia Inquirer Covers Recently Completed Mormon Temple
The recently completed Philadelphia Mormon Temple received high praise from the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Pulitzer Prize winning architecture critic, Inga Saffron in her August 2nd, Changing Skyline column.
The new temple will serve an estimated 40,000 plus members from Philadelphia and the surrounding region after its formal dedication on September, 18th. The 61,000-square-foot temple started construction nearly five years ago, on September 17th, 2011 and features one of the most ornately detailed, natural stone facades built in Philadelphia in nearly 100 years.
