Normile and Davis Present at APT/DVC Symposium 2012
Keast & Hood Co.’s Tom Normile and [John Davis](https://keasthood.com/ profile/associates) discussed the modern use of Wood Epoxy Reinforcing (W.E.R.) technology at the Association for Preservation Technology Delaware Valley Chapter’s Epoxy in Structural Timbers Symposium March 17, 2012 in Philadelphia. Normile and Davis presented case studies of epoxy repairs completed by Keast & Hood Co. at the Pearl S. Buck House and the Wrightstown Friends Meetinghouse.
The symposium is the first in a planned series of one-day symposia on the use of epoxies in historic preservation. The March 17 event introduced the chemistry of epoxies, offered an historic overview of epoxies in timber repairs, reviewed design basis for epoxy repairs of timber with case histories of epoxy interventions, and provided hands-on demonstrations.
