Announcing a Strategic Decision

Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Friends:

We wish to advise you of our decision to sell our Washington, D.C., office to the firm Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH®). Our Washington staff, including Principal Matthew J. Daw, PE, LEED AP, will join the SGH team effective 1 February 2018.

Our operations in Philadelphia, Pa., and Charlottesville, Va., will be unaffected by the sale. The few projects being jointly run across offices will be transitioned seamlessly.

Though we will miss having a D.C. presence, this represents a strategic decision that positions us to focus on client service and growth in our traditional markets in the northeast, while devoting additional resources to our rapidly expanding presence in Virginia and surrounding states. Our adjusted focus will be bolstered by the recent appointments of John Davis, Denise Richards, and Craig Swift to the position of principal.

Please know that you, clients of the Philadelphia and Charlottesville offices, will continue to experience the same client-centric service and engineering acumen that you have come to expect of Keast & Hood.

If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please do not hesitate to contact any one of us.

Sincerely,

Fred Baumert - fbaumert@keasthood.com

Dean Doukakis - ddoukakis@keasthood.com

Tom Normile - tnormile@keasthood.com

John Davis - jdavis@keasthood.com

Denise Richards - drichards@keasthood.com

Craig Swift - cswift@keasthood.com
