Keast & Hood Co. has been selected to perform a comprehensive structural survey and condition assessment of the historic Terrace Dormitory Complex at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Keast & Hood Co.’s work will provide the future baseline for information for the university’s planned Terrace Dorm renovation project. In other news, the firm recently completed structural evaluations and provided stabilization recommendations for two Mississippi buildings damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Our work at the buildings – located in Bay Saint Louis and Gautier, MS – was completed in collaboration with EYP-Mission Critical. The firm has also been selected to provide structural engineering services in Washington, DC, on a term contract basis with the National Capital Revitalization Corporation (NCRC) and Revitalization Corporation (RLARC). In conjunction with Structural Preservation Systems, Keast & Hood Co. has been selected to provide historic structural engineering services for the spire replacement project at Saint Alphonsus Church in Baltimore, MD.
