Keast & Hood Co. projects earn seven awards in September
Seven projects for which Keast & Hood Co. provided structural engineering received awards from the Pennsylvania Society of the American Institute of Architects and Preservation Pennsylvania during the month of September.
The Pennsylvania Society of the American Institute of Architects presented its Architectural Excellence Awards on Pennsylvania's annual Architect's Day, September 21, 2010. Three Keast & Hood Co. projects were among 19 winners. [The Philadelphia City Hall Exterior Envelope Restoration](http://www.keasthood.com/expertise/Façades/philadelphia-city-hall.html) earned an Honor Award; [The Academy of Music Ballroom Restoration]({site_url}projects/academy-of-music-ballroom) and [The Mask and Wig Club Restoration]({site_url}projects/mask-wig-club) each earned a Citation of Merit.
Preservation Pennsylvania held its 2010 Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Awards ceremony on September 17. Four Keast & Hood Co. projects were among 17 recipients. The [Pearl S. Buck House](http://www.keasthood.com/portfolio/Museums,%20Libraries/pearl-s-buck-house.html) was awarded the Initiative Award for Private Stewardship; The [University of Pennsylvania Music Building](http://www.keasthood.com/portfolio/Higher%20Education/music-building-renovation-amp-addition.html) was awarded a Construction Project Award for Compatible New Addition; [The Academy of Music]({site_url}projects/academy-of-music-ballroom) received a Construction Project Award for Restoration of an Historic Interior; and [The Mask and Wig Club]({site_url}projects/mask-wig-club) received a Construction Project Award for Rehabilitation.
