Florida / Caribbean Architect Magazine Features Call-Collins House
Restoration of the Call-Collins House (formerly, The Grove) in Tallahassee, Florida, is featured in the winter 2014 issue of Florida / Caribbean Architect magazine, the journal of the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects. Once home to two Florida governors, the house has an important place in the state’s history.
Keast & Hood Co. provided structural engineering for the historic restoration in conjunction with MLD Architects and the State of Florida, Division of Historic Resources. A particular structural challenge was resupporting the curved staircase.
