Join Keast & Hood and the Museum of the American Revolution during DesignPhiladelphia 2016. Our event panel celebrates the collaboration of a diverse group of professionals across disciplines who worked together to conserve and display a unique piece of American history; George Washington’s original tent. The Museum’s VP of Collections, Programs and Exhibitions, the Textile Conservator, and Structural Engineer will discuss the tent’s history, its conservation, and the structure designed to support this priceless artifact which will be featured at the forthcoming Museum of the American Revolution. Learn more about George Washington’s field home during the war and the many challenges of conserving and displaying the first “oval office” 240 years later.
