Daw and Swift Present at APT DC 2013 Symposium

Keast & Hood Co. Principal Matthew J. Daw, PE, LEED AP and Project Manager Craig Swift, PE, SE, LEE AP, presented at the Association for Preservation Technology Washington DC Chapter 2013 Symposium on 26 April in Arlington, VA.

The individuals participated on two paper discussions related to the symposium’s theme of “Disaster Preparedness, Response, and Recovery for Cultural Resources.”

In Session 4: Earthquakes, Daw and Swift presented Paper 9: “A Case Study of Post-Earthquake Structural Engineering in Haiti” and Swift co-presented Paper 10: “Earthquake Response and Recovery for a National Historic Landmark: Sherman Building, Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington.”

APT DC is a not-for-profit educational association founded in 1980 to serve the needs of preservationists in the greater Washington DC metro area. APT DC promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge concerning the conservation of historic resources and the application of preservation technology. APT DC is a local chapter of the Association for Preservation Technology International. Keast & Hood Co. is a member of both APTI and APT DC.
