Craig Swift Presenting at SESAH Annual Meeting
Associate Crag Swift, PE is in New Orleans for the Society of Architectural Historians South Eastern Chapter’s Annual Meeting this week.
On Thursday, October 29th Craig will present “Feature Stairs: Past and Present”, discussing how historic structures frequently employed column free, multi-story staircases. A case study related to the ongoing preservation of a 1870’s “feature stair” in Brooks Hall at the University of Virginia for which Craig is the Project Manager will be featured in the discussion. The panel covers the varied approaches frequently employed by experts in the construction industry and was compiled by the Construction History Society of America.
