Celebrating Preservation Month

Join us in celebrating Preservation Month this May! Keast & Hood is thrilled to announce that six projects have received recognition from the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia with Grand Jury Awards!

Burk-Bergmann Boathouse, University of Pennsylvania with EwingCole | The project entailed the demolition, renovation, and subsequent addition of the building’s east bay and restoring the historic features and façade.

The Athenaeum of Philadelphia | An exterior restoration with client Kreilick Conservation. Keast & Hood also assisted Kieran Timberlake Architects with the interior renovation.

Academy of Music Exterior Balcony Restoration | Serving as the engineer of record under Atkin Olshin Schade Architects. A phased exterior restoration and envelope improvement campaign for the landmark building.

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church | Working under Voith & Mactavish Architects, the project scope included interior renovation, the addition of an elevator, a new vestibule entrance, and exterior masonry repairs.

University of Pennsylvania Kelly Writers House | Keast & Hood served as Engineer of Record to DIGSAU Architects for the center’s expansion and addition.

Nix Federal Building, with Mills + Schnoering Architects | Renovation of the historic Post Office section of the federal building providing ADA accessibility and a new lightwell for the mezzanine space.
