Celebrating Preservation Month!

May is Preservation Month, and we are excited to celebrate with recent award recognitions and project highlights.

We are pleased to announce that our Director of Historic Preservation, Brian D. Wentz, PE, was recently elevated to the status of an APT Recognized Professional. Please join us in congratulating Brian on this achievement! An APT Recognized Professional is a recognized person practicing in the field of preservation technology with a documented track record of professional practice and leadership in the profession.

As further proof of Brian’s experience in the field of preservation, one of his past projects at the University of Pennsylvania, the Richards Medical Research Laboratory, was recently honored with a construction project award for rehabilitation from Preservation Pennsylvania.

Preservation Pennsylvania is the commonwealth’s only statewide, non-profit, membership organization dedicated to preserving Pennsylvania’s historic places. Every year they name their historic preservation award recipients. This year, a second firm project, the Brinker Lofts in Northampton County, also received a construction project award. The Brinker Lofts project adaptively re-uses a former ice-storage warehouse into an apartment building with a ground floor cafe and public area.

Congratulations to all Preservation Pennsylvania Award winners!
