We are seeking a qualified candidate for our Business Controller position. The ideal candidate should be willing to take on a challenging accounting and administrative management position within the company. We are looking for an individual with a demonstrated ability to take charge, make key decisions, exercise professionalism at all times, and keep the office running at its peak performance.

This person will report to the owners, contribute to the success and growth of our company and be rewarded with compensation commensurate with experience. The key candidate needs to be able to work autonomously when needed and be team player working on financial and business planning as well as systems used for accounting and payroll functions.

  • Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll processes

  • Supervision of administrative staff

  • Generate in-house financial statements, cash management, AR collections

  • HR Administration, including health insurance renewal and 401(k) reporting

  • Business Administration including Liability insurance, Workers Compensation, and the compilation of data for policy renewals

  • Maintain and renew business licenses in several states and municipalities
  • The Qualified candidate brings:

  • Experience in architecture/engineering/construction industry

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Current familiarity with Unanet A/E or Deltek Vision software (or comparable accounting product)

  • The ability to multi-task within a demanding workload

  • The ability to troubleshoot daily problems and occurrences as they arise
  • Requirements:

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience

  • Incisive accounting skills (financial degree)

  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to keep track of multiple areas of concentration

  • Proven record in the exercise of confidentiality and objectivity

  • Ability to work within a team setting in an Engineering/Technical field
