DVASE Honors Keast & Hood With Four Structural Engineering Awards

The Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers, held its annual Awards Dinner on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Keast & Hood was honored with four awards: Outstanding Project Awards for The George School Athletic Complex and the Liseter Clubhouse, and Merit Awards for 3737 Market Street Science Center and Kema Powertest Test Cell #9.

The George School Athletic Complex rose from the ground as a new 100,000-sf athletic complex designed to serve physical fitness needs for 500+ students at the private Quaker day and boarding school.

The design of the Liseter Clubhouse involved the conversion of a fieldstone bank barn into a neighborhood clubhouse for a surrounding new housing community.

The new 3737 Market Street Science Center is a 14-story, 334,000-sf building within the University City Science Center stands adjacent to the Penn and Drexel campuses.

Kema Powertest Test Cell #9 is a blast-resistant cast-in-place concrete cube of roughly 35 feet square.
