Charlottesville Office Welcomes Third Full-Time Employee
Keast & Hood Charlottesville, the firm’s newest branch continues to grow. The office recently welcomed Julie Hang, PE to the KH family. Julie is a graduate of Brown University and received her master’s degree from the University of California – Berkley. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in California and Virginia and has worked on a variety of projects such as hospitals, residences, commercial spaces, adaptive reuse projects, and seismic retrofits. Be sure to ask her about her research on the effect of tsunamis on structures and her field work in Thailand and Indonesia.
In addition to being a skilled engineer, Julie is also an educator. She was an adjunct professor at Brown where she taught the Civil Engineering capstone course for two years and in Seoul, Korea she taught Physics and SAT reading prep at a school for a few months. Around Charlottesville, you might run into Julie volunteering at the local Boys and Girls Club, out on a hike, or trying out the newest restaurant in town.
