A Decade of Volunteering at the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse

Keast & Hood’s Washington, DC office recently completed their annual Volunteer Day at the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse (TPSL) on the Chesapeake Bay. 2016 marks the tenth anniversary of Keast & Hood’s volunteer work at TPSL. For a decade, staff members have painted, patched, and worked to preserve the lighthouse for future generations. This year’s efforts focused on restoration of the interior and the repair of recent vandalism to the lighthouse. Engineers also completed resistance drill tests to confirm the condition of timber beams that Keast & Hood had previously replaced. The rewarding day ended with a refreshing swim in the bay!
