The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a new landmark building for Philadelphia's Logan Square area. The building, which can be seen illuminating the skyline from the Vine Street Expressway serves over 40,000 members from the Philadelphia region. It is part of a complex occupying a full city block that includes:
The Temple, a 61,000 square foot building featuring one of the most thoughtfully proportioned and richly detailed natural stone facades in Philadelphia.
The Temple services building, housing a variety of support spaces for the church including a rooftop garden with excellent views of the Temple and the city.
A public plaza integrating hardscaping with deep tree beds, grass lawns, and underground storm water detention.
An underground, 210-car post tensioned concrete parking garage.
Keast & Hood served as the prime structural consultant and designed the Temple, plaza and garage. We proudly acknowledge the role of our structural partner, David Chou and Associates who designed the Temple Services Building.
