Masonic Temple

Structural engineering consultation was provided for a Historic Structure Report and exterior masonry restoration.

The 1873 Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania is a highly ornamented Gothic Romanesque structure. The building is listed on both the National and Philadelphia Registers of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark.

The historic structure report (HSR) documented a comprehensive condition assessment and recommendations for stabilization and restoration of the exterior granite and interior brick walls of the building. Following the HSR, Keast & Hood provided oversight for exterior masonry repairs and restoration. The firm also evaluated the roof structure and designed subsequent roof repairs and related masonry stabilization.
